Spring Piano Recital

We attended the 2015 Spring Piano Recital last night.
It was an incredible evening showcasing a pop theme. What a pleasure to hear all the familiar selections, and to watch these amazing musicians genuinely enjoying the music they were playing.
I took a few still shots and videos of Natalie's performance.
Her friend, Elizabeth turned pages for her.
The first piece Natalie played was "In Dreams" from Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Natalie's second piece was "Home" by Buble
The Spring recital is always the last one of the season and the students patiently wait on stage as all parents, grandparents, and other guests take pictures. It's been a blessing from year to year, to look back at each group picture and see the changes.

Afterward we celebrated at Big Scoop Ice Cream Parlor
Noah was the only one who actually had ice cream. Nobody else really wanted any, but we all had a great time just hanging out.
Brandi and three of our grandkiddos came to the recital and joined us afterwards for the celebration. Here they are with their beloved Auntie Natalie.
We are so thankful that we've been able to provide our kids with piano lessons. A couple of them took this year off and we really missed hearing them play at the recitals. Hopefully they will be able to resume lessons in the near future.
And on that "note," I'll say good night!
Blessings to you!

  1. How fun! Tabby is getting ready for her spring piano recital. She's playing a duet with her teacher, and she's playing a song from one of the Hobbit movies.

    1. Oh Lisa, we would love to see videos! Are you going to post some? <3

  2. Oh how this brings back memories when our girls took piano! I enjoyed seeing the lovely photos and hearing about the fun ice cream social afterwards! It looks like a fun time for all!

    1. Thank you, Amelia!
I didn't realize your girls took piano, too. Time flies so quickly, doesn't it? Our older girls both took as well, and it's hard to believe how long it's been since they left the nest. Both have been out of the house for nearly ten years now. Natalie and Christine only have two years of high school left. Gulp! We're soaking up these last few remaining years with them at home and enjoying each piano recital so much. Do your girls still play?
