Independence Day Weekend, Part II

Independence Day Weekend Part II
As we continued to celebrate our independence, my camera stayed busy documenting the sweet faces of people I love, and the not so sweet faces and the fun and hilarious moments we shared together.
What a joy to have our precious friends here for a whole week-end!
The real reason my husband wanted company......Ha!
Jake was a great sport about helping Rich install the new faucet handle and dish soap dispenser.

Nerf Gun Wars went on outside, while peacetime was abundant inside

Casualties were few, nonetheless, quite disturbing

This sweet little baby was the sole entertainment when he was here, and he is a natural!
This is Darryl and Durenda's grandson. What a cutie!

Our kids introduced their friends to Dr. Who....not sure how their Mom will feel about that once they get home and talk about it non-stop like our kids have. I'm sorry, Durenda!

We have many pictures like these of our kids hanging out, and watching movies together, from the time they could toddle. It's amazing how fast time has flown by, and how much the kids have changed. I'm glad I took loads of pictures over the years, in spite of the complaints from my family.

A little Minecraft

Chloe got a little extra attention

She wasn't really wild about Jake, for some reason.
They had growling sessions.
We had loads of laughter, great conversations, delicious food, fun out in the beautiful, Summer weather, and Durenda and I managed to sneak away several times to sip coffee and chat.
It was one of the best week-ends ever, and again....this is a gift. It's not something to be taken for granted. We are truly blessed to be able to enjoy the beauty of life.
Counting blessings every day, and thanking God for His provision,
